Darrel Cole was born in Tulsa and has lived in Sperry, OK his entire life. He began playing the guitar at the age of 13 and was playing in the VFW and bars by the age of 15 and throughout his twenties. Darrel is an award winning entertainer and talented musician, vocalist, and songwriter. Darrel and the band were noticed by Vernon Sandusky, lead guitarist for Roy Clark and Hee Haw regular, and soon after they were in Nashville recording the first album of original music written by Darrel, titled Rednecks On Parade. Since then the band has written and recorded many more original songs, included on their next album, titled Motel Called The Sun. Darrel is anxious to record the band's third album in their own studio in Sperry.
Jason has played guitar for ....... years now. He came from a musically talented family. His influences range from Chuck Berry to Dwight Yoakum and all stops in between. His love for music is shown thru the brilliant yet humble way he plays all genres, especially country, rock, and blues. Jason played his first paying gig at the VFW in Henryetta, OK at the age of 14, and continued to play on the road and in the recording studio with some of the best musicians in the business. In 2002 he joined Darrel where he has remained an integral part of the band. Jason has been endorsed by companies such as Tradition Guitars, Peckerhead Amplification, and Lloyd Prins Guitars.
Keith was raised in Okemah, OK. He started started playing the drums at age 9, learning from his father, grandfather, and old records. Keith continued to play throughout high school and beyond, playing with many club bands, until he started touring with Toby Keith in 1991. He left Toby in 2000 and spent two years touring with the band Ricochet. Keith appeared on the CMA, ACM, and Music City News award shows, and a few national television shows. He joined the Darrel Cole band in 2002, but his stay was short-lived due to illness. Keith reunited with the band in 2016 bringing a new life back to the group.
Pj was introduced to the idea of playing music at an early age by his father Len Tanner, who was a Capitol recording artist from the 1960's through the 1980's. Starting as a drummer, he realized his passion was actually with the bass guitar which he switched to at the age of 18. He honed his skills by playing in many amateur and semi professional bands in his youth and as a young adult. Pj is an extremely talented musician. His versatility is unmatched and includes motown, funk, blues, jazz, rock, pop, and country music. Pj joined the Darrel Cole Band in 2002, which he refers to as "the best blessing I've ever received."
